Log in to www.chemthink.com  (you all should already have a username/password).  If you have not already created a username/password, you will need the following code to create a username:  3042 3452 4340 .   NOTE:  Make sure that you use your nickname as your “First Name”.  I WILL DELETE YOUR ACCOUNT if you do not use your nickname!

Complete the “Ionic Bonding” tutorial, then the question set.  If you are finished, complete the “Ionic Formulas” tutorial and question set.

NOTE:  If you attempt the test more than 5 times, you will be given an alternative assignment!  After the 3rd time failing the test, you need to study more!  By the way, the web site will tell me how many times you have completed the test, and the tutorial.

Hey everyone–I am going to give you some freedom in your next assignment.  I want you to go to my favorite science simulation website (http://phet.colorado.edu/en/simulations/category/by-level/middle-school)  and pick ANY of the simulations.  You can try more than one if you’d like.  Then I want you to answer the following questions as a comment to this post, either on the ASB Science facebook page, or this page (if you already have an account).

  1. What was the title of your simulation?
  2. Why did you choose this simulation?
  3. What are 3 things you learned from this simulation?
  4. Would you consider the simulation “fun”?
  5. What surprised you about this simulation?
Remmeber:  Post your answers as a comment on this post, or on the Grade 6/7 ASB Science FB page.   Don’t email them to me, please.
