Once in a while I have the great ‘pleasure’ of watching someone open PowerSchool’s Gradebook the old way.  Depending on their tech-fluency, it can take between 3 and 10 clicks, and 10-90 seconds.  To some, that is acceptable.  To me, that stinks.  Opening a program should not take that long.

Enter Alfred and it’s beautiful workflows!

Free-Alfred, unfortunately, does not support workflow.  But for those hardcore Power Users that don’t mind a modest fee, you can assign a hot-key to open the app in less time than it takes most people to remember how to begin!

Essentially all you have to do is set up a hot key that opens an alias to the Gradebook application.  That’s it!  Here’s some shots of my setup:
